Asharqia Chamber organizes the third Communication Conference
Asharqia Chamber is organizing on Monday evening 15 March, 2010, the third expanded Communication Conference which combines the former and current Board Members in the Chamber main building.
Asharqia Chamber Chairman, Mr.Abdulrahman Bin Rashid Al-Rashid said in his speech that: I am pleased on behalf of my colleagues of the Board Members in its sixteenth session to welcome all of you to meet all of which contributed to support and participated in the achievements of this entity, which is proud by his leaders, which they take the effort in order to remain this entity as an active and supportive of the events and activities of the private sector in the Eastern region.
He continued saying: there are many developments and strides in the chamber performance in its activities and initiatives, The Chamber today differ greatly from the more than fifty years, but with all the developments we are witnessing daily, and the change in the performance, we express our pride in the accomplishments of the pioneers at this level, and strive to convey our experiences and ideas and achievements in order to benefit from them, and the benefit of future generations.. It is a march that started with the blessing of God.
From here came the chamber initiative role the sessions of the past and present to communicate, through this expanded meeting of all Board Members, which is held for the third time.
He explained that the formation of the new board was done, which we hope to be the embodiment of your ambitions and aspirations of the private sector, the Council entering the stage of the act and the work is waiting for a number of additional activities, which lay ahead, stemming from the growth and development taking place in the national economy in general.. We should point out here that the number of points to confirms this meaning, which are:
First: The female's factor who Join the Council for the first time, gave a new horizons for the work and thought manifested itself through this Council. We would like to inform you that in the meantime in AlJazirah hall, the businesswomen along with the chamber participants are hosting a conference with the council members: Ms. Hana AlZuhair &Ms. Samira Alsowiyg to discuss the aspirations and means of enhancing women's economic performance.
Second: The new Council, which held its first sessions, and ended the managerial structure, announced taking up the development of the specialized committees, by increasing the number of departments involved in this sector, specialized committees are no longer under the administration of one, but I'm not cutting, depending on the current development in economic activity.
Third: The new Council, having completed the situation, came with the concerns of institutions and companies in the Eastern region, especially small and medium enterprises, following many accomplishments now we must continue these achievements, especially in light of the continued growth of these institutions, which find in the Eastern Chamber the sponsor who to develop and elevated it to serve the national economy. Thus, there is an additional activity will be witnessed in the coming years.
Finally, in this period, we are working hard to continue the achievements made in successive sessions of the Council, which gives us a great responsibility, we find ourselves happy with this site, and we are doing to serve this great country.
AlRashid noted that the chamber is taking the lead, not only in the conference but its carrying out researches and studies for the committees work to see what worked and results achieved, the chamber will lead these studies to the officials in the country to solve it.
He thanked the Chamber Board Members for the last and current sessions, for their service to the national economy, and for which they have provided to support development projects in the Eastern region through Asharqia Chamber, also thanked the former Chamber General Secretaries; Mr. Ibrahim AlMutrif, Mr. Abdulaziz AlAyaf and Mr. Ibrahim Al-Olayan for their effort and time they put in the service. He also thanked the Chamber General Secretary ,Mr.Adnan AlNuaim and the Executive Management for what they have promote to the chamber, to serve the business and industrial community and social responsibility achievement.
AlNuaim opened the discussion among the members. As Mr. Abdulla Al-Faris suggested a proposal to strengthen the link between the citizen and his business with the country, and problem solving along with the allocation of funds from the chamber budget for community support through the provision of training, industrial, and construction of facilities that are in their best interest and reduce direct dependence on the country.
Dr. Khalid Al-Zamil thanked the Chamber for this initiative role and explained that the room is facing a great challenge to represent the business and the business sector and the communication development with the country in support of economy development and creating suitable jobs for young generation.
Mr. Saleh AlHomaidan said that the commissions were assistant actors in the chamber and when they will give power and appropriate budget, it will move to larger to service its sectors associates.
Mr.Mutlaq AlQahtani said that the conference is an opportunity to meet the old fellows; he also talked about the campaign promises and asked the current members to abide by those promises that concern the citizens in order not to have a negative impact on them.
As for Mr. Ibrahim AlMutrif, He explained that the role of the person who works in the Chamber Board Directors is an ongoing role .He also said that the chamber needs an important annual event as the Economic Forum which reflects its strength and experience and impact
Mr. Badr AlSuwaidan said that the Eastern region is the industrial capital of the Gulf; also he suggested activating the sign in all its aspects by the traders.
Mr. Abdulaziz thanked the Chamber management for the conference arrangement, and suggested to select a portion of the chamber budget to spend on important sectors, which are the engine of the economy in the region such as oil and gas sectors.
t Mr. Ibrahim Al-Olayan suggested to focus upon the formation of committees depending on the committee economic strength .
As suggested by Mr. Abdulaziz AlJadhai that committee's presidency must not be surrounded by council members, but shared by the businessmen in the region.
Mr. Hamad Al-Zamil thanked the former Board Members which has revolutionized an excellent effect on the chamber and wished success for the current management.
Mr. Tariq Al-Tamimi requested in to add a special committee for the Fishermen to preserve their rights and defend their demands; AlRashid also stressed on reviewing this topic in AlQatif Chamber Branch.
